IEC certifications are carried out via TÜV Süd as Certification Body(CB). CB for UL 1703 is Intertek/ETL, for PV systems PV-Cert.

PV-Cert offers certification of PV modules according to the latest norms: IEC 61215 Ed.2: Crystalline Silicon terrestrial PV modules, IEC 61646 Ed.2: Thin-film terrestrial PV modules - Design qualification and type approval, and IEC 61730-2: Photovoltaic module safety qualification.

PV-Cert is an independent entity of PI-Berlin which allows certification according to the IEC-CBTL scheme.
PV-Cert is under approval at DAP (German Accreditation Service) and should be fully accredited within the next 2 months.
